A new chief executive has been appointed for the company that operates the education payroll.
Stephen Crombie will take the helm of Education Payroll Limited (EPL) from July 1, replacing outgoing CEO, Cathy Magiannis.
EPL board chair, Dame Patsy Reddy, says Mr Crombie brings a wealth of experience in relevant public and private sector CEO and senior management positions that will ensure the company has the very best leadership going forward.
“The directors are thrilled to have secured someone of Stephen’s calibre. He has had an ideal mix of senior roles in IT, large-scale commercial management, business transformation, marketing and product management in both the public and private sectors.
We are looking forward to welcoming Stephen on board and working together to ensure the NZ education payroll continues to build on a platform of continuous improvement.”
Stephen Crombie is currently the 2IC Strategy/Executive Director, Information, Technology & Systems for NZ Police. He will take up his position with EPL on July 1, 2015.
Dame Patsy says that, in addition, Cathy Magiannis has been appointed as a director of the board of Education Payroll for a two year term.
“We are very pleased that Cathy has accepted this continuing role with EPL. She has built up a deep understanding of the education payroll system and has a great deal of experience that we would like to retain.”
